Nylon (Nylon, Polyamide, PA for short) is a plastic composed of polyamide resins. Such resins can be produced by polycondensation of diamines and dicarboxylic acids or by ring-opening polymerization of lactams formed by dehydration of amino acids. Unlike PS, PE, PP, etc., PA does not soften gradually with the heat's temperature increase but softens in a narrow range of temperatures close to the melting point, which is very pronounced, with a melting point of 215-225°C. The melting point of the polyamide is the same as the melting point of the polyamide. Flow occurs once the temperature is reached.
