Stainless steel rivet nut flanged Plain Body Open End is a form of internally threaded insert used in applications where the material thickness is too small to tap a conventional thread.

Using rivet nuts creates a vital thread in thin sheets of material for high-strength fastening from bolts and other threaded articles.

The flanged head of this style of rivet nut is used to reinforce the hole and increase resistance to pull-out, making it ideal for load-bearing applications.

The open-end style allows the stud or male threaded component to thread through the rivet nut without limiting the length or protrusion of the male threaded part.

Flanged Plain Body End Rivet Nuts are installed using a unique tool with a threaded stud that engages with the internal threads of the rivet nut and pulls upwards. This deforms the unthreaded section of the rivet nut to expand under the reverse side of the material, providing a high-strength permanent thread in thin sheet material.

They are manufactured from Zinc-Plated Steel, A2 Stainless Steel, and A4 Stainless Steel as standard. Other materials, such as aluminum, are available to order.
